Hey quilters! I have been wanting to do a Mystery Quilt project for a while. (You get part of the pattern each week, but you don't know what it's going to look like in the end!) I happened to stumble across one on FB that costs $15 to participate in, and the proceeds go to a little boy who recently had a brain tumor removed. His tumor was thankfully not cancerous, but his family still has medical bills. His name is Jack, and the project is called Jack of Hearts.

Here is the blog post about it, and it will tell you how to purchase from the etsy store and join the FB groups to converse with others working on it!

I joined...I will probably donate the quilts from this project to a local cancer project...what a fun way to do a quilt...I hope you will help if I get stumped on a clue!!!

This will be my first mystery quilt...I have done mystery knitting before...and it was very challenging yet fun!

This is such a cool idea. I've never heard of mystery quilts before but I just purchased and can't wait to try it out!

That's a great idea to donate the quilt too! I might, I have no plans for it now, maybe something will come up between now and then. I would love to find a mystery crochet project too, as I can't knit and love the mystery knitting idea!

Shall we post our fabrics here?

Should we wait we post the blocks until everyone is done or set a deadline?  I don't want any spoilers to take the fun out of the mystery!

Hmm, I don't know, good question! The first part of the pattern will be sent tomorrow, and if anyone sings up late, it's my understanding that they'll get all of the pattern up to that point on the next Friday. So, I think it would be fine to post our progress as we go. I have family coming in from out of town this week so not sure if I'll be able to do the first week's pattern right away.

Here's my fabric! I was a bit worried about the two patterns competing with one another, but the green one fills in the green/yellow colors in the darker one nicely and I think will end up looking like a tone on tone. I got the Kona Azure to be a calming solid to bring it all together.

I'm waiting for my fabric to come in still.... Gonna be a bit late on starting since I just placed the order yesterday. I LOVE your fabrics though Maremare, I saw them on the Facebook Group page as well. It looks like such a fun combo!
