Noushi--what beautiful fabrics! I love the snails and where did you get that beautiful pink dot?  I collect dotted fabrics...someday I hope to do an all dot quilt... Grin

I think what homerof2 was talking about was that people were posting before everyone had a chance to read their own email...I think it would be alright to post pics of CLUE #1 tomorrow since we should all know what that looks like!

I hope this isn't a spoiler - I haven't started sewing yet, but I didn't take a photo of my fabric in it's uncut state.  I decided to go with some hand-me-down's from my grandma's stash (is it still a stash if it takes up half the house, or is there another designation?)  Anyway, I have to stay out of the fabric store and thought it would be interesting to use these more traditional prints.

Does anyone else have leftover fabric after everything has been cut?

I haven't cut mine, family is still here from out of town and my craft room is currently hiding some things from the living room (bike, Elliptical) so I can't even get in there.

I assumed from the directions that you would have leftover fabric and there would be more to cut in later steps, but I didn't do the math or anything.

I just cut fabric that I already had - so I'm not sure how much I started with.  There were some comments on the Facebook page about people feeling that the fabric amounts were generous.  I didn't think about there being more to cut later though...

I definitely think there will be more cuts later based on the fabric yardage...maybe borders, maybe sashing...

My fabrics are here!!  I will be cutting either tonight or tomorrow!

Asatmor--lovely fabrics!  I think there are a few other people that are using blues...

I definitely have a ton of leftover fabric... I'm thinking that's okay though. The Hello Kitty was only 42" wide, and I still have lots, so I'm hoping that there is more cutting to do.

I agree with alwaysinmyroom about not telling if you figure out what's being made.  I joined the Facebook group and was quite disappointed when people started posting pictures of what they had made in clue 1 because it totally took away the fun for me.  I may not keep following that group as I don't want to find out ahead of time what's being made.

I quit the Facebook page as well..I think it is rude of people to post completed pieces when some people have not even had a chance to get or read the email...I tried to hint, but apparently, my post was deleted and I am probably now a bitch...I know people are excited, but to ruin the mystery of the mystery quilt is just not cool...I will post my progress here and on my FB page that only friends and family can see...

cutting out my fabrics...I think everyone has received clue 1 so I will probably post those if I get done soon...
