I thrifted this polyester Norman Bates-esque number for $3.99.  It was begging to be transformed.

I hacked off the top section, realizing the elastic waist was actually where the top and bottom half were stitched together, so there was no saving the material from the top really.  I flipped the remaining skirt upside down on the dress form, used a sleeve for a halter neck...and gathered the back into a waterfall ruffle.

Tada!!

Thank you for looking!  Smiley

Well done. It is such a pretty fabric, it deserved a better garment. Love the gathered back.

Wow.  Now I have to figure out how to do a waterfall ruffle back.  Craftster sure lengthens my to-do lists!

Scholars and artists...differ most importantly in the way their knowledge is come by.  Scholars get theirs with conscientious thoroughness along projected lines of logic; poets...stick to nothing deliberately, but let what will stick to them like burrs where they walk in the fields.
