Oh, I can't decide whether or not to sign up. I've only made a couple quilts and quilt tops before, so I don't know if my skills are on par with the rest of you. I guess I have a questions really. Does everyone provide a beginner block pattern and a more advanced pattern? I want to make sure I can provide top quality blocks.

From organizing this last time, I would say as long as you are conscientious about using 1/4 inch seams, good quality fabric, pressing your seams, and carefully measuring the final block size, you should be good. There is a 12 1/2 inch square ruler you can buy which is awesome for measuring final block size. Last time we had some problems with people not following basic quilting rules.

Cool. I can definitely do that. I will also be picking up one of those rulers next time I'm at a shop. I will probably be sending in my questionnaire in the next couple of days.

Sweet, I need to send in my sign-up too! Can't decide on patterns though!

Donniesgirl, can we have a different pattern/color for each group we're in? Not sure how to put that on the sign-up?

I love the pinwheel #8 but it finishes at 10 inches and I would prefer a 12 inch one. Here's other lists I found~

Has anyone played with Colour Lovers before? I bookmarked it the other day and just got around to playing with it. Made a couple palettes that I might want to use for a quilt. Typo'd on one of them and not sure how to edit it. Grin Yay, figured it out!

To create your own palette~

Have to create an account first, super simple.

Last round MareMare I  had each group do a different block.  When sign ups and groups were posted I sent the group a hiya and please make ____ block email. I planned doing that too in this round.

For the most part redpopscicles I don't think any of the blocks from last round were overly difficult. Except the wonky ones.   So hard to sew unstraight lines  Grin

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

I love to sew wonky on purpose!! Grin

I was in a couple of swaps where some of the quilt blocks were not the specified size...I used them for other projects, but it was a bit disappointing...

In a swap with all levels of experience, I think you have to expect that...I would not minding swapping with beginners as long as they wouldn't mind some helpful hints for next time... Grin

I got some of those blocks not "following the rules" last time.  I had something similar happen on a reusable grocery bag swap.  It's kind of a risk with swaps but it is disappointing to the recipients.  I don't mind beginners but I agree: please watch the 1/4" seam allowances and please press your seams.  It really doesn't take much time to stop & press.  And 1/4" can make the difference between something falling apart, causing weird bulk in a quilt, or being beautiful.

If you don't have one, I highly recommend buying a 1/4 inch foot. It's the awesome! Grin
