Maybe?Huh I am a quilter, and love exchanges... but I'm also trying to use up stash and scraps. Is there anybody that loves patchwork/scrappy quilts that would like to partner together? Though that would require 4 people.

The idea is to use stash.  But within your partners parameters.  So if we were paired. And i said.  I would like star blocks in blue. You would then choose a star block. And blues from your stash.

Last round i linked to the block pattern and asked for red and white. And this is how it turned out.  I also asked specifically for a ragged circles in "your favourite fabrics" cut but not pieced.  This is it.

One of my chosen blocks this round i am hoping wont be deemed too difficult.  But gets scrappy. The other one i am hoping for in citrusy colours. Yellows, lime, oranges. Even aquas and white.

Organizer's Note: Just wanted to highlight this.
Please do not sign up until you have decided on your pattern and colors.

I am all for scrappy & sampler blocks, which is pretty much do your own thing.  But you need to commit to a concept before you sign up so that your partners have something to work with - that is all the questionaire is asking for.  I did a few of the raw edge circle blocks last time for sloth & they were stashbusters for fabric I had bought & loved from other projects.

I was thinking of doing the raw edge circle blocks this time in fact but asking for Christmas colors (red, green, white, & gold).  Here are a couple of the other blocks I did last round where people had just asked for scrappy.

And it doesn't have to be traditional pieced blocks either - someone else had asked for appliqued birds.

Choosing colors is not meant to be an impediment.  Someone might want scrappy but is going for a rainbow theme, or someone wants log cabins in blues & greens but with all the center squares white.  They have a preference on shades or pattern because they are trying to give their quilt a certain theme or tie it all together visually. I stash busted 95% of my blocks last time - I think I just had to buy some white solid fabric because I ran out.  And to the extent possible, I will try to group people with simpler or similar designs/colors together.

Now I am curious!  What is the block?  I'm dying to do urban nine patch but I've ruled it out because it does require a special ruler.   Undecided

That block is gorgeous. And sooooooo scary.  Eek. Curves!
The block i was contemplating was self designed. But. I think i will be passing.  I found it tricksy to get lined up right. So the tester blocks will be made into a baby quilt and i will plan b it. Smiley
