Details of swap:This is a swap for
12.5 inch quilt blocks*. People will be organized into groups of 5 and will send 3 blocks to each of the 4 other people in their group,
for a total of 12 blocks per group. Swappers with excellent swap feedback may do more than 1 group (up to 3). Within each group it should cost about
$12 total to send out to 4 people, with delivery confirmation (assuming within the US). Please keep shipping costs in mind when choosing your number of groups.
*If you fall in love with a pattern that yields a different sized block you can use it,
up to 14 inches, but be sure to specify the size that it makes so that your partners aren't confused.
Everyone chooses their block or blocks that they would like made for them. It could be a specific block with an online link to the pattern or a general type (ie, stars). Keep in mind that people of different skill levels are involved, so please don't pick a super advanced block unless you also pick an easier block to go with it.
You will also choose your color palette. That could be a color family, a couple of particular colors, or something as vague as "brights" if you want to leave it up to the other swappers' interpretations. You maybe also/instead specify certain fabric patterns if they are vague enough, like plaid, stripe, polka dots, etc. Try to only be as specific as you need to be so that people can work from their stash as much as possible.
You must use
100% cotton fabric and press your seams as you put your blocks together, unless your partner(s) have specifically stated otherwise.
