I've been off Craftster too long, so I'm back. Our leather journals which we started making last fall, have become pretty popular so I wanted to show them off.

Really nice! The key detail is especially great.

These are INCREDIBLE!

Leather journal making is a craft I would love to get into, but in the meantime I'll just admire the heck out of yours!

Yes! That's exactly why we do it! We used to just tell people the story behind their key, but we decided it would be better to be able to have it there as a reminder. We keep track of where all the keys come from and make new labels for every group of keys. I print them at home in small batches Smiley

Those look very nice.  Do you have better pictures of the notebook inside?  Is it bound on the top or bottom?  Does the notebook cover slide into pockets in the leather to secure it inside?

The note book is just a standard mead 5 star 7.5" x 5" notebook, spiral bound. There are pockets/sleeves on either side for the front and back covers to slip into, which is what holds it in place. This way you can continue to use the leather journal cover well after you've filled the journal up.
