For the doctor who swap I wanted to make a weeping angle tree topper so I started looking around for inspiration http://www.flickr.com/photos/48784812@N07/7341008752/ and found some images of ones made out of a monster high dolls. My daughter had one but its legs were broken so I ripped them off and bought a paper mache cone.  Cut it to size and using polymer clay I clayed her in to the top of the cone. So her base is hallow to go on top of the tree. Now I had some terrible time with air dry clay.  I had never used it before and it cracked repeatedly and I had to scrape off and restart.  So I ended up using polymer clay and baking her.  Which I wouldn't recommend.  Her arms split at the seams and she did melt a bit in the oven.  Also he wings fell of in delivery so I will also have to rethink them too.  But once everything was sculpted and baked I painted her and sealed her up.  I am really happy with the finished product.

she looks amazing!
 the only way it could be better is if  when you moved the hands from her face it was a scary mouth full of sharp teeth but I imagine that would be pretty hard to do
 I wish I had a Who fan friend to make this for for christmas .. I mean i have some but they aren't the kind I would make gifts for.

Thank you both.  I was worried about trying to do the angels carry face.  I didn't think I could do it.  As for the hair I removed her hair and sculpted it with clay over top her skull.
