Wow, that would be so cool- maybe open up a whole new world to the people in the UK, few of which can even thread a needle I swear. Crafting is too "underground" in the UK

the slow publishing business. it takes at least half to a whole year for it to get to ol'singapore. harry potter's THE exception; they overship and 2 months later discount 30%.  Roll Eyes

couldn't you order from amazon US and have it shipped to you? it's more expensive, but if you can't wait then it's great! before japan had its own amazon, i often ordered from amazon US

Sounds awesome! Just a question about writing it, did you come up with the projects, then make them? Did they take pics of your original projects or does someone recreate them? just interested...

quite exciting

I made about 80 percent of the projects and I had some friends and fellow Craftsters help me with the rest. Thankfully!! It was so much work and I definitely needed the help! Tongue At the end of the book schedule I was literally crafting from 8:00 a.m. to midnite every day to get it all done. Not that I'm complaining! Smiley

The majority of the project ideas came from vintage 1950s and 1960s craft books that I have in my collection. And then there is a smattering of new "vintage-inspired" projects.

So the book will show new photos of the newly implemented versions of the project PLUS the original vintage imagery.

Glad you like the book idea! It's going to be a really fun book. It's 99.9% done now and I'm so happy with how it has come together! The reason why it won't be out til April is that it takes a few months to be printed.

And, yes, buying the book will be a good way to support Craftster and future "The Craftster's Guide To" books!

oh im so excited for you leah! i'd definitely buy when it gets here. daisypirate, i'd rather wait, shipping's really expensive for books if im not wrong? i recieved a journal in a swap from the US, and it costed the poor girl $26 to send it to me, which is twice the price of the book, not to mention the exchange rate,so i wont subject someone else to it in a swap either, bigmouth! btw, im wearing the shoes you decorated right now!!  Grin
oops, i hijacked your topic, sorry leah. i cant wait til it gets out, i'd be bugging the book stores here to carry it!!! if every craftster buys one, you'd be minorly rich!
