this skirt isn't from the same pattern - but it is very similar. it has an elastic waistband and a big ol' slit on the side. i used spiderweb fabric for the top, then a strip of one inch wide sturdy ribbon, and then some vertical pinstripe. the combination of the patterns and textures worked out really well. bought the fabric from a fabric store in my town for about 7$ a yard. it's a fun skirt to wear!

Hey, I love your skirt.  I like how you constructed it with those 3 different elements - verrry nice job.

cheers,

Anu

i just wanted to back up what anu said about walmart fabric.  i bought all of these fabrics for no more than 2 bux a yard--vintage flower patterns, mushrooms, flipflops, palm tree monkeys, crazy animals (turtles included!), cat in the hat, etc.  sometimes wallyworld is cheaper--sometimes!

love the skirt!...i made a purse out of that same turtle pattern comfits...cant resist the turtly stuff either!
