I've been trying to figure out this problem for about 2 hours now to no avail. I'm about to rip my hair out... I figured it would be a good time and try to ask for some help.

When I sew, the top thread very rarely catches the bobbin thread. If it does happen to catch it, it makes very long, loose stitches. I took a video of it in case someone needed more of a visual. (sorry for the quality... I was filming with my phone... with one hand to sew with. It's not spam, I promise.)

As you can see, it starts out pretty well, but the stitches just get longer and longer until it isn't sewing anything at all. I threaded it properly, wound and inserted the bobbin correctly, but it still isn't working right. I'd give up, but this is my only free arm, and I've got to make over 300 Christmas stockings this fall.   Roll Eyes

I realize it's a month later, and hopefully you've fixed it.  But if not, have you cleaned underneath the bobbin casing and changed the thread tension?

Does it do this with any fabric/thickness?

Sorry I can't give better advice. Sad
