Here's the link to my instructable on this project.

I guess my images were removed because of hotlinking?? But they were hotlinked to MY google photo account.  *sigh* Oh well, I don't have the patience to reupload everything, so if you're curious about this check out my Instructable!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I saw a picture on Pinterest of giant eyes on a tree and it gave me the idea to make my own version.

I used:
- LED tealights from the dollar store,
- two paper plates
- a paperclip to make a hook.

I'm sure you all can figure this out, here's a picture from the back so you can see what I did.  I put the tealight off center behind the black pupil. When I put the light in the center of the plate it made a very bright spot in that area at night.  I liked the 'white' part of the eye to be lit uniformly.  I know, OCD much? Smiley

Anyway, this was super fast to make and it looks really cute on the bush by our driveway, I may have to make a bunch more.

My daughter said she liked it better than some Halloween decorations because it wasn't "TOO" spooky.

Now I'm debating about making a mouth, what do you think?

making them light up is brilliant, but making them light up uniformily by placing the "tea light"  in the black part, GENIUS.

Okay!  Grin

I put a pic in the first post, I had a hard time getting a decent shot at night.  But they really do look cute, we are going to make more and tuck them around the yard!
