Recycled Medal Ribbon Crochet Hook Clutch

I love love love recycling and when this huge bag of 33 medal ribbons came my way I had to make something interesting when them... beyond holding my own verision of the Olympics

My Crochet hook clutch was looking a little tired so I whipped up this little puppy using the same pattern

I just stitched the ribbons together and used them like regular fabric, I'm a big fan of Red, White and Blue combo as I'm a Brit abroad.

The medal ribbons were an Inch wide, the width doesn't really matter though, as long as they are not too teeny tiny, the pattern itself just calls for regular fabric though if stitching ribbons together isn't your idea of fun

sounds so tedious sewing all those ribbons together, but the result seems well worth it.  so cute

That's because they are  I just stitched them with a narrow zigzag stitch and used the ribbons as normal fabric. Thanks for checking it out.
