I claim mthrasher138 for Powerpuff Girls/Mojo Jojo. Send out: 11/5/12

My name is Jennifer and I'm currently living in Louisville, Kentucky. I haven't done much straight embroidery yet; I mostly do sewn bits. I don't much care for cross stitch unless it is a sampler with a ridiculous quote. But I really do prefer sewn bits/mixed media/embroidery. I don't much care for neon or pastel colors, but anything else is probably fine. I like weird, bizarre, and ridiculous things, and my humor is very dry and kind of strange. I am also not opposed to something "adult" but I think the most that would occur based on my themes would be explicit words.

The Soup (TV show) - any of their ridiculous phrases/gags, as far back as Whitney Houston's "Kiss My Ass"
Futurama - minus Kip, Amy, and Zap Brannigan. Can provide quotes.
30 Rock (I love pretty much everything but especially Kenneth. Can provide quotes)
Adventure Time (minus Fiona and Cake)
Harold and Maude
Harry Potter spells/dark mark/maurader's map
Catch-22 (book) - could be a quote or something from the movie. I can provide some quotes if asked
Computer chips
anatomy
"mini microbe" - germs/disease/etc like the stuff on this site: www.giantmicrobes.c om
Kentucky (maps/geography/landmarks/etc)
Kurt Vonnegut artwork

I claim deathbeforedishes for chemistry/Chanukah (not as odd a combination as it sounds.)
Send date 13th November 2012
2/1/0

It took a while, but I finally came up with an idea for deathbeforedishes themes that I feel confident I can execute.
Brief info: I am a middle aged, married woman (kids all grown up, one recently married) who primarily lives in a small university town in central New York State (but with a place in New York City, yeah!). My interests are very broad and I don't have strong opinions about color. So, feel free to take any basic idea below and be flexible with it. Here are a few themes to consider:

1 Fruits and vegetables
2 Farms/farming
3 Mid-century modern/retro
4 Art Deco
5 Famous sites
6 Clockworks
7 Humorous Quotes
8 Celebration (non-religious)
9 Opera and/or dance
10 Mathematics
11 artist's choice

Best wishes for everyone.

I'm Cait, a recent college grad and new resident of beautiful San Diego, CA. I share a home with my boyfriend and our fat, spoiled cat, Artoo Detoo. My style is feminine, kitschy, vintage/retro, with bold patterns and bright colors (my favorite colors are pink and orange). I spend a lot of my free time baking, wreaking havoc on the poor houseplants with my black thumb, and pursuing my many crafting interests.

Some ideas to choose from:
-CATS (I'm a huge cat lady)
-Movies: Star Wars, Monty Python (any), Kiki's Delivery Service, The Fifth Element, The Princess Bride
-traditional tattoos
-cute kitsch
-floral, especially lilacs
-bees (realistic, please)
-ocean/nautical inspired
-anything vintage (http://mytransfers.blogspot.com/ is a great resource)
-cute woodland critters
-tea
- pinterest inspired http://pinterest.com/kittycait/crafting-inspiration/
