Self Portrait Spin Challenge: Perfect Imperfection

I called this yarn "Perfect Imperfection" because thats what life feels like to me! I tried something new to me for this challenge, so this yarn is full of flaws but is still pretty in its own way.

 

This yarn is like a loose timeline to me and the beads represent memorable moments in life (so there are a ton of beads!), with the two stars representing the most important times in my life so far: the day I got married and the day my daughter was born.
The red is for love, there are brown beads for the color of my hair and eyes, and the silver ones make me think of tiny little wedding rings. The color of the yarn ties into that a little too, I dyed it grey/light blue like the sky:D



This yarn looks good on the surface, but its actually a little crazy- like me! There are points where its underspun, overspun, and sometimes its just held together by a thread. So this was my attempt at me all spun up- hope you enjoy!

Very nice. You got this done quick! What kind of fiber did you use? It looks very soft.

Its just some I got from Sheep Shed. Its listed as Punta from South America, and its super soft. I made a cowl from it and its super warm and super squishy. People have said its similar to Corridale, but I've only used this so I can't compare it. love it though!

I got some of that Punta and love it! But I don't like calling it that because where I come from it's a bad word. Did I mention how I enjoy the symbolism of the beads in your yarn? There sure are a lot! Ooh, ooh, what's the yardage?

lol. i dont call it that very often either for the same reason! there isn't a whole lot there, only about 18 yards. plying with beads is really hard on a drop spindle and i misjudged how many beads i would need before i started.
