Creating a 'Verse

Any tips for doing the painting? 

 I used acrylic paint because I didn't think this would be washed. Unfortunately, this made it hard to stitch in some places- especially where I had built up quite a few layers. I used mostly blues and purples in this piece and created depth using white and black paint. It took me a while to blend everything and get the look I wanted.  Just keep playing with the paint until you get the look you want

I also used an old tooth brush to splatter the fabric to make the "stars".
