Came across this incredible sheer silk chiffon (which is IDENTICAL to the fabric Dolce & Gabbana used for their fall '11 collection) online for $10 a yard. Needed it in my life, but was pretty broke at the time so I only got two yards. A skirt seemed like the best use of the limited yardage I had so I went with a simple mullet style skirt.

It's basically two pieces stitched together with the top folded over to make a channel for elastic cord and a hem along the bottom. The finishing is not done the correct way for this type of fabric but I didn't have a zigzag stitch plate for my machine so all I did was fold the fabric over and straight-stitch a hem.
