Well in that case I think the rolags I've been carding these past couple days are actually punis because they are really little, but I think that's because of all the lanolin still int he fiber it's the only way it's coming off is super tight! Thanks for the knowledge!

punis are tightly rolled rolags, more commonly reserved for shorter staples and more slippery fibre, like cotton, yak, southdown wool.

I saw a reference to punis regarding cotton spinning. I think because I drafted them as I was rolling them up, they count as punis (if I'm remebering rightly; I've read sooooooo much spinning stuff lately, my head is awhirl!). AND... I really like saying puni Tongue

Alexus, that looks so good. Are you implying this your first FF? That doesn't seem right. That looks rather tweedy, I love it!
What are punis? I have never heard that term before.

Um... I may or may not have contributed a photo 2 years ago, right after I got my spinning kit. But now I'm much more dedicated to learning everything I can and improving my skills (and have excess income for the purchase of fibre Cheesy), so I'll be around.
