I'm currently dying this heinous blue chair I received and I'm under somewhat of a time restraint doing so. However, so far, so good.
First I bleached the chair for a decent canvas, and then kind of ombr dyed the chair green (I ran out of the rit kelly green and was forced into the hunter... Needless to say, I need more of a yellow green... I didn't realize until today I should have mixed the dyes initially.

What would happen if I dyed a golden yellow over the current green? Might I be able to still get my desired green?

http://www.ritdye.com/colorit_color_formula_guide (I want a #41 ish)

The current chair looks like: http://i1074.photobucket.com/albums/w414/AbigailPaxton/d0784e3b1d0af6238e4cf0dd63691de8_zps0674fdfa.jpg

I think adding any color on top of your current color will result in a darker shade, rather than a lighter shade.

Here's some info from Paula Burch on over dying to a lighter color (although on silk with acid dyes, maybe some of it will be helpful):

Good luck!
