I dyed this yarn with RIT liquid dye, color Evening Blue. This project, I think, is interesting because the yarn was not previously undyed.



It was originally that light turquoise color. I was attempting to get this dark blue color and used the light colored yarn as ties for a skein of undyed wool which came out more as a light denim:


I was planning to dye the rest of the light turquoise skein. If anyone wants a tutorial, I could make one when I dye that. It's pretty simple to use the liquid dye, and it gets more reliable colors than the powder.

ooo...I love that blue!  I, too, prefer the liquid RIT to powder, but I've never dyed yarn with it!  Love your results!

Wow, those are really pretty! I just started dyeing yarn and have been using powder, but it looks like I need to change to liquid dye.
