Hi, I have long lurked here but the time has come to say hello as I have a question.
I have just started the victorian wrist warmers that I have a pattern for. The size of both the hook and the weight of the yarn is accurate.
However, the initial chain that needs to be worked into the round seems huge.
Should I just carry on regardless?
thank x

Does the pattern list a gauge? If so, I would crochet a few rounds and then check to see how your gauge matches up with the pattern. If you're way off, adjust your hook and/or yarn until you get the correct gauge.
