Crackled Faux "Pearl" Necklace: Polymer Clay

This was a fun piece I made using large wooden beads, copper foil, and translucent clay:



The wooden beads I used a base. I rolled out sheets of translucent clay, and then applied copper leafing to the sheets. I wrapped these sheets around the wood beads (making them lighter than solid clay, and saving on clay!!!
I strung them onto strong beading wire, and created the clasp.

Don't they have a nice luster like pearls? Plus, they are VEGAN pearls!
