It's been a long time since I started a topic in Craftster, but here goes! I've started making lots of pieces using LEDs, and thought I'd share one of my new designs - Jellyfish!

These are made of leather (metallic teal and white) backed in wool felt, and are lit with color-changing LEDs. Tentacles are dyed ribbon (sold in a skein for knitting) and sparkly, ruffled elastic. I make the lenses myself, out of scratched-up scrap acrylic, using a blowtorch, a homemade form, and a band saw. I do all the cutting, soldering, sewing, you name it! They are mounted on backs that allow them to be work as hair clips or brooches interchangeably.

I hope you like them! Thanks for looking!  Grin

Oh, this is the coolest thing ever! I would love to go to a party or a club wearing something like that, it is otherworldly. Do you mind it I post an image of it on my blog as inspiration? (Linked here and credited to you, of course.) The article is at http://sticktoyourglueguns.wordpress.com/2012/12/31/crafty-resolutions-13-crafts-for-2013/
