Last weekend, my 4 year old daughter slept over at Grandma's, so I took that opportunity to go out and drink and party and stay out all ni--whoops! No, I took advantage of our temporary Kid-Free Zone by sewing my daughter a skirt! I must be getting old.

I followed this tutorial http://oliverands.com/free-patterns/lazy-days-skirt/ but I didn't do the ribbon detail. I also added bunting like this http://www.simplesimonandco.com/2012/09/easy-skirt-banner-tutorial-and-riley.html but I skipped using interfacing, deciding that I sort of liked the fraying. I also chose to have the bunting go all the way around the skirt. My daughter loves it which makes this mama very happy.
