What is a zine? A zine is basically a self published booklet, often made by folding a stack of papers in half and stapling them together. Zines cover all topics- I've personally seen zines about women's health, autobiographical comics, music, poetry/short stories, tutorials, politics, etc. If you are computer savvy, you can use different programs to completely design and layout your zine. Or you're like me and will print out/scan your content, create a master copy, and then copy that. Both methods can produce high quality work. We are aiming high people, let's make some awesome indie reading material!
If none of that made sense, wikipedia may do a better job of describing what a zine is exactly:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZineYou may write about any topic of your choice. I will do my best to make sure no one is partnered with someone who is planning to write about a topic they specifically asked not to receive.
You may choose between 1 to 4 partners for this swap. You only need to write one zine, you will simply make copies for each of your partners. (It would be wonderful to make color copies if you're using images, so please consider the additional cost.) I cannot guarantee that you will get your preferred maximum number of partners- it's up to everyone who signs up

There is no maximum number of pages for your zine, but please create at least 8 pages (That's only 4 pieces of 8.5"x11" paper folded in half, front and back. Two of those pages will serve as your front and back covers anyway, so that's 6 small pages of content.)
It's likely that the envelopes you are sending your zines in will not be big enough for the post office to give you a DC#. If that is the case, you
must scan or send me a clear photo of your receipt and the addressed/stamped envelope. If your envelope is not received by your partner you must send another copy.
