I just learned that at my tobacco store...they give away free their wonderful wooden {not the paper covered flip lid kind, but they also have those  Grin} but the full wooden kind with hinges, and a jewelry box kind of front closure. And a beautiful smooth finish. They are "branded" with the cigar logo on the top, but you could cover that part. Or use it in your design. It is kind of like the wood burning stencils, but not too deep. You could probably cover it with paint-able wood putty, and slick it over so it was smooth again.

My tobacco store is the kind that sells lots of cigars {humidor}. I roll my own cigarettes. That is why I shop there. But they had many sizes available.

I have one that I am working to make into my new TM patch box, for my embroidery threads. And to keep track of that pesky needle case that the cats seem to love to hide on me  Roll Eyes But the boxes are good to keep other things, too. Note cards. Templates. Markers. They stack well. Just some ideas.

If you have a humidor store, they might just let you have some, too!

The cigar store near me used to give them away, but then they got wise and started charging for them. Dangit.
