*Green-tastic* Knitted green scarf - Lots of pics!

I am a beginner at knitting, and this is one of my creations. In the past I've tried to learn crochet but I discovered that knitting is SO much easier. This scarf is made green (olive) wool yarn. Love the stitch and the color of the yarn. IT really goes with any shirt color or dress.

I am looking for beginners stitches, something easy and fun to do for the winter. If you know about any project, please let me know.

Nice work. I don't recognize the stitch though. I'm a beginner too. I've made some garter stitch scarves and just moved up to a few dish clothes. They are very simple and gave me a chance to practice a few new things. I made one and a half yesterday. They are so cute. I'm planning on giving some as Christmas gifts to people like my Mom who only want useful things (where is the fun in that)

That's awesome!  I think my first knitted project were a pair of mittens...I like to jump head first into things.

You should try alternating the patterns in which you purl & knit.  Easiest texture I can think of is a moss stitch scarf, it's an interesting texture and  SO easy, you don't even need a pattern to create a scarf.

You can search for patterns using their search engine and it'll pull up knit or crochet patterns, free or purchased ones and narrow it down to the size of item, type of item, type of yarn, needle size and difficulty!
