So, I have once again been making bookmarks to go in  the goodie-bags at our annual UK Bookcrossing convention. Since I needed ALOT of them (at least one per attendee, and about 100 attendees) I wante dsomething simple to make and that I could use up stash for. So, inspired by a similar thing I saw on pinterest, I opted to make these book clips.
I just gathered together all the shank buttons I could from my stash, glued them to some outsize paperclips, then backed them each with little circles of felt to hide all the glue. In some cases the shank buttons were pretty boring looking so I further decorated those with other buttons from my stash.
I'm pleased with how they came out, and because of the variety of buttons I had there are lots of different styles, hopefully something to suit everyone's taste (they can swap amongst themselves from what they get in their goodie bags - that's what they did with the bookmarks I made last year)
