Newbie Funky Artist & Crafter!

Hey everyone!!
My name is Maria, and I am known as Retro Sorrento.

I am brand new to Craftster, and although I have been scouring the internet with my crafts, I don't think I've been on a community forum since 2004!! I'm definitely a little bit rusty, but very excited to meet some fellow crafters, get some inspiration and get some feedback.  

A little about myself:
I am an illustrator and crafter. I graduated from RIT in Rochester, NY with a B.F.A. in Illustration, moved back home to Utica, NY and am now working as a florist as my day job. I still keep up my art and craft on a daily basis (although I have to admit it gets crazy sometimes!). I rent a small studio in a nearby town and sell prints and crafts at local craft fairs, stores, and online.

I am extremely influenced by my love of the 60's and 70's culture, music, mindset, etc. I am a flower child at heart. My artwork and crafts definitely reflect my interests. My illustrated work consists of color-saturated caricatures, portraits, city scenes, landscapes, Volkswagen buses, and the occasional octopus tentacle. As a crafter I create vintage-styled crochet jewelry, accessories, and household items.
