I have a big chunk of lime green merino that I need to do something with, if anyone has any suggestions of subjects.

How about one of these guys?

YES! That would be awesome to see. Smiley

I don't think I'll be able to participate this coming round. I'm on a swap hiatus until the finances become a little nicer. I'm still planning on keeping up with the thread, though!

For all the books I've ever made, I've always used either good ol' Elmers glue, or if you want to go heavy duty PVA glue.
I LOVE pva. It is worth the money in my mind since it is archival.

Agreed! If you aren't planning on doing much bookbinding in the next couple years, it might not be worth buying a whole bottle (unless you want to offer your leftover PVA in your STS shop... Wink). But because it's thicker than Elmer's, it doesn't make paper wrinkle/warp quite as much, which is a big plus.

Non-adhesive options include using your sewing machine, or connecting the pages with grommets, though those aren't the most subtle options. But more subtle than, say, duct tape (which I have used to bind books once in a while).  Smiley

This crafter is out of service most of the rest of 2015 due to a wild schedule, swapping once in a while when I can't fight the feeling anymore ("I've forgotten what I started fighting fooooor...").

Personal swaps: I have lots of home-grown rosemary and white sage available.

I read "sewn goodies" and my crafty ears perked up. I'll be stalking ya Loves2!
I need purses this round, if anyone needs ideas to make  Cheesy My reliable black bag from 5 years ago is finally dying and I need a roomy "diaper bag-esque" purse to carry around. (Just because I don't have babies anymore doesn't mean I don't need a roomy purse  Cheesy That's a common misconception Roll Eyes )
I'm also holding out for one of sheepBlue's Teesha Moore bags!! The Sherlock one she did is already pinned  Wink

I might be doing a couple in this style, big but only really fits like 1 pocket right on the inside due to the pleated style if anyone is interested. I have been pinning on Pinterest like mad for ideas of things to make, just haven't actually done all of them yet!
