I cut out Yoda, storm troopers, and General Akbar!  It was totally fun!  I have been trying to think of how I could do them in fabric. . .

Iron on freezer paper to give the fabric stiffness, then fold and cut away. When you're done just peel the freezer paper off.  Cheesy

Been busy this weekend catching up on stuff neglected since my vacation. Why is the weekend so short?!

Pepco was hacking down trees all over my neighborhood last week, so we'll see about the power. I live in a highrise so flooding and stuff isn't an issue. We are planning to pick up food and supplies in Atlanta where there shouldn't be problems. Without a treadle sewing machine, I'll be limited to felting projects if the power goes out for long.

Good luck for the anticipated weather to everyone who may be affected by it. My thoughts and prayers go with you.

I'm in Western PA and we're forecasted to receive heavy winds and rain, so I'll be closing my shop this afternoon just in case we lose power. Last hurricane we were fine besides a little flooding at the end of our lane, so I'm hoping this will be similar.

Thanks Antidigger and A2K.  All is good here (so far).  There are a couple of spots in MD that are experiencing power outtages...I guess the really hard rain is coming at noon so the worst isn't over yet.  The last big storm saturated the ground so thoroughly that with the wind huge trees were unrooted all over our neighborhood.  We removed 2 trees shortly after one of them crashed into our roof and the other loomed overhead so at least we're not in any danger of having a tree crash into our house.  If we lose electricity we'll cook on our tiny camping stove and eat PB sandwiches.  Smiley  Anyhow we are having a quiet day at home...doing a little Halloween crafting and having a lazy day.

I have marked crafted items in my shop as buy one, get one of equal or lesser value for free!  I don't feel up to including custom items at the moment, but I would like to clear out what I have to make room for more!

Yea I'd like to do some kind of black friday sale early too.  I'm on vacation that week so I wouldn't be able to do it on the actual black friday.

I added some new stuff to my shop last night too while I couldn't sleep. Smiley
