Hi, I'm back. okay, I forgot to tell you I was away so you probably didn't miss me. We unexpectedly had the weekend off work and got roped into attending a Scout camp instead. I made most of a hat for my daighter on the trip there and back. So, whoever wanted sock yarn for the beekeepers quilt can probably have my Wollmeise leftovers. I will take a pic in the next few days, once I have blocked it and made sure it fits.

Sorry to hear that your mom is going to need major surgery A2K.  We'll be sending lots of positive thoughts her way!

Your apple jelly looks awesome TroubleT!  I'd be all over it, but soon we will be making some regular apple jelly for Lana's teachers and friends for the holidays.

Of course we missed you Sansa!  Hope you had fun at camp!!

Lana had a playdate yesterday which means that John and I have been cleaning frantically for the past 3 days.  Now the house is nice and clean and ready to be messed up again.  This morning I'm going to re-organizing my craft room so that I can see the floor again. Once Lana is asleep tonight I'll be crafting a bit for my STS Holiday partner!  Smiley

A2K, I'm glad your mom is ok but I'm sorry to hear about the major surgery coming up!   I'm still keeping her in my prayers.

Troublet... what flavors are in candy apple?   I did a search and some sites said toffee others said cinnamon.

Sansa, it wasn't me that asked for the sock leftovers, but I am planning on a beekeepers quilt in the future and am collecting sock yarn for that so I might be interested if the original person that asked passes on it.   Smiley

utm... have fun crafting tonight!   Smiley   I've been working on my STS stuff too.   Cheesy

The weather has turned really nice here.  Smiley    I love this time of year!

My candy apple jelly is cinnamon.

I found a recipe last night for caramel apple cider jelly that is next on my list of To Dos. My husband will love it! Cheesy

I made 4 batches of pluot jam on Friday, and oh man is it good!  So, I'm going to offer up a couple jars to my shop.  If you don't know what a pluot is, it is a cross between a plum and an apricot.  One of my husband and my favorite recipes is apricot chicken.  So, I decided to sub the apricot jam in that recipe with this pluot jam and is was amazing.  Hubby thinks we should never use apricot jam in the recipe ever again.  Its really easy to make, its 12 chicken thighs (or breasts), 1 cup pluot jam, 1 cut creamy french dressing (though I've heard its good w/ italian or russian, but I've never tried that before), and 1 package of onion soup mix.  Mix together the jam, dressing and soup mix and pour it over the chicken.  Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes.  I usually make it with mashed potatoes, but I did rice last night and it was fabulous.

And an enticing picture from dinner last night:

Oh, and here's my shop.  ^_^

Mmm, jellies and jams...That recipe sounds really good, too...

I updated my shop this morning with some more handspun yarn and supplies. Next week I should have the epic 2013 page-a-day calendar of Craftster ATCs available!

I didn't promise them to her or anything. She made the suggestion of things that she might like so they are definitely up for grabs. I have a small amount of green sock yarn in my shop but with no pic and it is probably overpriced. I only had four small things so they had to be 1/4 point each or else they couldn't be claimed. I'll have to measure and bundle up what is left and take a pic so it is more appealing.
