Learning how to knit and crochet with my yarn claimed in this swap! Behold a knit cowl and a crochet slouchy hat both made from the yarn I got from Eiseldora!

Calluna! I live about an hour away from Solvang! They have the BEST Ableskivers (sp?) ever! So delicious and their candy store--especially the salt water taffy---if worth splurging on  Wink

Oh! I didn't realize that's where you live -- I was born in Ventura and semi-grew-up there!  Grin  Have you met DesignVigilante yet? (I still need to)

I just noticed this comment, it's funny that you mention me. IsikkahJai is my cousin (well, technically my husband's cousin but we're still family Smiley ).

Mueheheheheeee....yep. D.V.'s awesomeness is only a 30 minute drive away  Grin

As for the STS crafts, I was thinking mini palm-sized poppets---possibly some big ones as well (If I'm not burnt out making them for the Sweat shoppe  Cheesy), embroidered note card sets (maybe), small embroidery hoops/frames, messenger bags, hand-bound blank journal and pen sets, maybe some small wall art pieces, stenciled t-shirts/hoodies. some supplies I REALLY need to get rid of, like fabric. Fabric "grab-bags"? Hmm......

It depends though if I'm not too knackered from the sweat shoppe and the new shipping prices don't gouge me Tongue

I need advice re: papercrafting. I made an accordion album for another swap using watercolor paper, the strips of paper are attached with little tabs and sticky double-sided "tape" stuff. However, the tabs are under a lot of stress and the tape isn't sticking well enough. I had even pressed the taped edges under weights for a few days, but that didn't help.

The tape that I used was some of that "tape runner" with a spooling dispenser, not a heavy duty tape like Scotch tape. What kind of tape or glue product would be recommended?

For all the books I've ever made, I've always used either good ol' Elmers glue, or if you want to go heavy duty PVA glue.
