I'm considering purchasing a couple of feet for my machine- a Brother LS-30- but I'm not sure what to do.  I think (fairly certain, at least) that my machine has a low shank (about 3/4in from plate to screw). What I'm not sure of is whether it is a solely snap on or if I can remove the ankle too since I see a screw on the side as well...?
The picture I've attached should illustrate my confusion better. (I tried to get the picture flipped right side up but no luck.) I found out that if I push in the little black thing at the back, the foot will fall right off.

Yes, you do have a low shank machine.

Your feet do snap off, but you can also loosen the screw on the side of the foot so that the ankle will come off.

If you purchase a walking foot you will have to take the ankle and foot off in order to put the walking foot on.

So, you can order either snap on feet or feet with the ankle attached.
