I made this owl bag for Casey1201 in the August OPS and she said she has received already so here it is for show and tell! I based it on this purse that she had on her Pinterest but changed it up a little. It is crocheted, lined with fabric, and the eyes are not only buttons but made out of poly-clay. This is the first time I have used poly clay ever and man, I have a new found respect for you poly-clay people. I think it's one of those things that looks really easy and isn't. I mean, all I did for this was eyes and trying to get my fingerprints off of it and moderately shape it was not easy. Of course, the fact that clay is probably at least 10 years old...

Whatdya think?

Hax, owl stuff is really popular lately.

La Chapa, steal away! I stole it myself, mostly. Just don't ask for a pattern because a) I don't have one and b) it's too easy to make without a pattern if you have any kind of knowledge about crochet at all. As it was, though, I probably should have done it with 12dc inc/round rather than just 10 but live and learn, and pass on your knowledge.

Puppy_girl, not weird at all. I made that part all with scrap yarn. I wanted another round of blue but didn't have enough.

Thanks for all your nice words. I'm so happy I'm in the Top 8 of the quarter! It's even a category I didn't think I would be posting in ever. Yay!
