Ah ah, I couldn't wait until a long hike day. I just made it yesterday. (but I did a 3 hours training walk for the marathon) I baked it in the oven. My husband put a tray of cubed oiled potatoes in the oven at the same time.

Following your advice, I put a slice in a hamburger bun this morning for my son's lunchbox. He found it delicious.

I made it, too! Though I didn't take pictures. I think we were in a rush, though, and it wasn't completely done so it wasn't that great, but the next day I pan grilled it in slices and it was AWESOME! I think I have a slice left, I might try it as a sandwich today. OM NOM NOM! Thanks again for the recipe!

My husband says if I use less onions then it would be a lot better, but I don't think they detracted from it at all. I used to not like onions either but I wanted to like them so now I do! So he can just suck it!

I totally want to make this for my family, but after my last cooking attempt, i'm not allowed to use the grill anymore.

I think the same temps and times for the grill should work for the oven.
