this is AWESOME.

pastry

4oz all purpose flour
2oz margarine or butter

filling

150 grams marshmallows (cut into chunks about the size of minimarshmallows, or you know, use mini marshmallows)
    50 grams butter soft
200 grams dark chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa solids) chopped into small pieces
    50 grams syrup or honey
    60 ml water hot
    284 ml cream, whipped
    1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

topping:

1 small handful of each:
chopped nuts, rolled oats, ground almonds
1tbsp golden syrup
1/2tbp oil

first off, make the chocolate filling.

Put the marshmallows, butter, chocolate, syrup and water in a heavy-based saucepan.
Put the saucepan on the hob, over heat, though keep it fairly gentle to melt the contents, stirring every now and again. Remove from the heat when it's all meltey and gooey. resist the urge to shove your face in it and inhale.
Meanwhile, whip the cream with the vanilla extract until thick, and then fold into the cooling chocolate mixture until you have a smooth, cohesive mixture.
Pour or scrape into a bowl which holds at least 750mls.
put in the fridge to cool and set.

make your granola now. mix together all of the topping ingredients, pour into a very greased tray and bake in a 150 deg c oven until golden. stir occasionally, then when browned, tip out onto a sheet of baking parchment to cool. break into little itty bits and try not to eat it all.

now for the pastry. crumb the fat and sugar and add cold water until it forms a dough ball. roll out and use to line a greased, floured pie tin. blind bake until golden and fully cooked through on the base, then trim while hot and allow to cool.

once the pastry is completely cool, fill with the chocolate goop. at this point you can add a layer of cherry jam too! to with granola and serve. it's AMAZING.

Chocolate and granola?  This most certainly needs to live in my belly.
