Hi there!  This weekend I was busy making about 70 cupcakes for a baby shower!  Mmmmmm!  I thought I would share my method of making chocolate picks for the tops of cupcakes!  Its super easy to do!

To start, find whatever images you want to use for the top of the cupcakes and print them off to the size you want.  I copied my images from the internet into a Word document and sized them there.  The best way to find those filled in types of images on Google is to type in "silhouettes" or "vectors" along with whatever you looking for.

You will also need a big sheet of wax paper, as big as a cookie sheet.  This way you can put the designs into the fridge to harden the chocolate faster, if you so desire!

Next up is to melt your chocolate.  Put however much you want into a microwave safe bowl.  Start with a minute on 50% power or defrost.  Stir!  Then if more time is needed, put in at 50% power level or defrost again but at 30 second intervals, stirring in between.

Pour the melted chocolate into an icing bag, or if you don't have one of those, into a freezer ziplock bag (they are thicker and easier to work with).  Cut the tip off.  Start small, and cut off more of the tip if you want a bigger stream of chocolate to come out.

Squeeze out the chocolate tracing the design.  Add a stem to best place possible.  That is where you will shove it into the cupcake later!  Make sure your application of chocolate is even and thick, to make it more sturdy!  Let your chocolate harden and then stick 'em in your cupcakes!  Now you have a fun and edible cupcake topper!

The only one of these dinos I had troubles with breaking was the t-rex, for some odd reason.

Thanks for looking!
