Have been meaning to try a sugar free brownie for quite some time, so finally gave it a whirl.  Not too shabby!  I made some modifications (listed below) to the original recipe.  I just subbed what we normally eat/what I had in the pantry.

I have some sliced bananas freezing to make peanut butter ice cream sundaes with these tonight.  The family is going to love me. Grin

I substituted:
Vegetable oil:canola oil
Splenda:some random brand sug substitute I had on hand
Vanilla:homemade vodka & rum vanilla
Walnuts:chopped unsalted cashews
Salt:No Salt (sodium substitute)

I added:
1 packet SF hot cocoa
1 tsp baking powder, which seemed to be missing from the ingred list, but was mentioned in her steps.

The texture is very different than a traditional brownie, as it's more smooth and light than chewy and gooey.  Will definitely make again, though!  Might even mix the nuts into the batter next time or drop dollops of peanut butter in.  Yum!

This looks like a great recipe. My family is in the dark most times about the health value in some recipes. What they don't know can't make them not eat something cause it is healthy.  Wink

Just finished our sundaes.  Made ice cream with two frozen sliced bananas, 3 tablespoons peanut butter and 2 teaspoons honey in the blender.

baby.sweets4ever added sprinkles and a cherry to his, of course.
