I began making tea towels and dishtowels using what I call "the cursive stripe" for gifts for friends... I've made several, but this was the one that started the whole thing!

This was made for a friend who LOVES October and everything it brings... fall weather, Halloween, pumpkin flavored everything...

It was easy and quick to make. I used three strands of dmc floss, backstitch and french knots for the dots over the i's... I just drew a line with a ruler, wrote out iloveoctoberiloveoctoberiloveoctober with a disappearing marker, and stitched away...

I didn't get a picture of it ironed, but I love how it turned out...

as always, c&c welcome and appreciated!

That is a lovely gift. Almost too good to use as a tea towel.  I love your cursive stripe.

Your cursive stripes will soon become a collector's item since it is not being taught anymore in a lot of schools!

How lovely your writing is...and how simple the design...who knew handwriting could be so elegant?

Also love how you used orange for the fall...hope to see more of these from you...
