So ThriftyLiving4U was doing some water bottle and cardboard box repurposing. I love that we are both reusing/recycling! I had been working 7a-7p to cover a missing coworker and so my husband fetched this from the post office yesterday:

That was the bottom of the box!!!

Got it open and here they are... I'm not sure which one to keep - they are all so beautiful. I have to attach the tags still, and I'll be taking one to work with me tomorrow, to hang on a door knob or cafe chair.

and my new SPAM paint box! I LOVE IT!!! The little containers have magnets on the bottom and stick to the can... there are 6 extras so I can switch out colors!! THANK YOU xo

I took some individual pics...jic anyone was interested.

So glad that you like the paint tin...I think it's funny that both of us were worried about our personal swap item drying in time.  The spray paint coating was taking forever!  The bottom is my first attempt at inchies and I wasn't sure how I wanted to permanently attach it...so inevitably...I didn't :/

Today was a recoup day around here, but I will definitely abandon tomorrow! Smiley
I hope you get some recoup time as well puamelia!

Lol, well, it's been hot and humid -no trade wind, and lots of vog (volanic smog) so it's been miserable. I love the inchies - they are all the crafts I do! Great job!

I am recouping now, after a hot day at the pumpkin patch. Lucky we won't carve for another 2 weeks, they would rot quickly. It's an evening of home made pizza and a beer, and contemplating which one of your pieces to keep and which to use for the first abandoning.

Ok, my craft room walls are white. I have a big Japanese pic of blue irises on a gold background, and am painting a metal desk bright blue to match. I will paper the top with a light wood grain. Which one should I keep?

I received from Summer6061 this weekend!! When I saw the HUGE box sitting on my doorstep- I got really excited about what was inside. After ripping it open, I discovered that Summer had gone in a slightly different direction- instead of creating something for someone to take home, she made beautiful birdhouses for me to place in the parks around my house- to be left there for all to enjoy. I absolutely love this idea and as soon as I am done with my midterms on Wednesday- I am going to spend the day leaving them around town.

I am having a hard time choosing which one to keep- but I am thinking that I will keep the book bird house. It is so my style!

Also for those that wanted to see some close up photos of my art- you can check them out HERE

The birdhouses are such a great idea, Summer6061!  I love that they are all different.  The Spiderwick house is my favorite too.

LeapFeetFirst, I'm so glad you posted your blog link -- I really couldn't tell what was "behind" the plastic baggies. lol

You've got some super interesting and lovely textures/layers/depth. I think the one with the coppery strips on green crackle is my fave.

Wow, LeapFeetFirst! I'm glad you posted those detailed photos... now, I still like "2" but I'm loving the crackle backgrounds and textures - I'm torn now between the copper strips and the "Fly". Beautiful work!

Summer6061 - the treehouses are so cool! I like the Spiderwick and the cuckoo clock! So clever! I think we will be needing to make a birdhouse for our garden now.... Thanks for the inspiration! Wink

Agreed on all points!  I would not be able to decide between Spiderwick and the cuckoo clock.  Speaking of needing birdhouses, I live in the middle of the country and only have a bird FEEDER.  I'm a bad country dweller.  I keep 'em fat but not warm :/
Let the ideas and crafting of birdhouses commence.  Thanks Summer6061...sigh. Wink

I have abandoned two mini canvases so far!  I will post pics and include more details soon Smiley.

Also, thank you everyone for the comments on the birdhouses, I had a lot of fun making them all.  LeapFeetFirst, I can't believe how fall weathery your pics look, it's still very end of summer here.  You have the perfect backdrop for all those birdhouses!
