Awesome! What did you make?

We put together I think 10 meals? Some were doubled. I've got two crockpot chicken coconut curries, two pot roasts, goulash, broccoli cheddar soup I made a week ago, sesame beef, and two beef stroganoffs.

The stroganoff looks like it'll be good, you just add the sour cream towards the end of cooking!

Yum! I'd love the recipe for the chicken coconut curry if you'd like to share!

Actually this whole blog post is about freezer cooking.

I got the curry and the goulash recipes from here. I didn't add the mango to the curry, I substituted coconut milk (which I hope will do alright in the crockpot).

She has some pretty good recipes for crockpot meals.

Hey all, I just added this to the first post if anyone wants to do a kind of organized posting weekly or monthly.

I thought it might be nice to have a format that we could post each week. You can post (or not post, we're easy!) any or all of the following once a week or once a month or whenever you feel like. Honestly, I may use my weekly post to organize my meal plan and keep track of what I want to make Cheesy

~1 Recipe a week that you would like to try or that you love and would like to share
~Meal plans (daily/weekly)
~Freezer meals or components you are freezing
~Your prep list
~Grocery shopping tips/lists
~These are just some ideas Smiley

My list for the week (I already mentioned a bit above)~

Tonight or tomorrow I'm making this. I like to make one meat based dish at the beginning of the week to eat on during the week for lunches and other times I need a quick meal
Slow Cooker Swiss Steak
For prep, I need to take the round steak I have in the freezer out. I already bought some canned tomatoes, which was the only ingredient I needed to buy. Yay for using up pantry stuff!

Mon--leftover rotisserie chicken
Tues--Swiss Steak (see above)
Wed--Cauli Pizza Bites (already prepped cauli rice, have the rest of ingredients on hand)
Thurs--Bday Party for neph (ie, salad at Chuck E Cheese)
Fri--Chicken Curry (already prepped cauli rice, need to batch cook some brown rice for mom, already bought curry paste and coconut milk, will need to defrost chicken breasts)
Sat--Leftovers
Sun--Eating out

I went grocery shopping today, so my list for next week is pretty short so far~
Cauliflower (2)
Tuna fish (4-6)

Later in the week I'll start deciding what I want to work on this weekend for freezer meals and start planning out next week. I also think I want to take an inventory of what I currently have in the freezer.

Do you all cook your meat before freezing it?

I think I mostly do with the ground beef that I cook up with onion, green pepper, and garlic. Other times if I've made too much bbq shredded pork I might freeze some extra if I think it will go bad, but I haven't purposely cooked anything else to put in the freezer.

Here's the blog post that got me thinking about this again. Not a lot of exact recipes because she uses ones from a book (copyright) but lots of methods/tips.
