I was poking around the interwebs the other day and discovered the folk art quilts of Sue Spargo. Her awesome quilts, combined with the changing autumn season inspired me to make this felt leaf wall hanging.

I used wool blend felt and stitched each of the individual leaves with random designs and then embellished with buttons and beads. I was only planning to make 3 leaves but I got addicted and couldn't stop!! Pretty soon, I had 12.

Since I had so many leaves, I decided that I'd stitch them to a larger piece of felt and make it into a wall hanging. I glued a few felt loops to the top and slipped a dowel through them for hanging.

Thanks for checking it out! Let me know if you have any questions.

It really is beautiful!  I love your embellishments and color combinations.  The orange leaf on the bottom right is my favorite.  Smiley

Beautiful. Even thought the leaves are stylised designs they look exactly like real leaves.
