I had to wait a bit to post this because it was for Monster Swap 4 and I didn't want to spoil the surprise for my partner!!  Not all monsters are furry with fangs...

I used a bedsheet I got on clearance for $2 (because the seam was ripped out) for her dress, 15mm purple safety eyes for the eyes, and ivory alovasuede for her body.  I painted under the eyes with watercolor, and the stitch details I used a fine tip sharpie pen.  Her hair is Caron Simply Soft in black and white.  Enjoy!

Love her! She is so cute! Love the purple eyes, I just bought some that color for an unknown future project. Maybe I'll attempt a bride for myself.

AND, her little stitched body is actually has stitched joints in all the right places! An amazing and beautiful doll, and I still can't believe she's mine!

If I ever get a sewing machine, this is what I want to learn to make!  Maybe I can make her a bunch of monster dolly buddies!

 Cheesy

That was the hard part... After I sewed all the hair on, i took the middle clump on top of her head (leaving a circle of hair around it to cover up with later) and stuck it straight in the air, then sewed it together by hand the best I could.  Then I decided that wasn't sturdy enough for the core, and ended up wrapping thread around the middle clump of hair and it stood up great. But I didn't want the thread to show, so all the hair around the edges that were left I individually hot glued to the center sewed hair.  Took forever but it turned out perfect.
