Crafting to keep insanity at bay.

I did a personal swap recently with the most awesome kawaiihelen and being that our taste and personalities were similar in many ways, I decided that she needed some jawbone print to make her life just a bit better than before  Grin

Here's a picture of me setting up the screen. Ignore the one on the right - it was supposed to be a second layer of the print showing more grey areas but it just never looked right to me.

And a test print. here you can see the grey area print but I'm just not too happy with the layering. C'est la vie, sometimes one layer is better than two.

And I'm printing. All done freehand on a small table in my apartment. My bf didn't appreciate the racket I made while printing but sacrifices had to be made for something this neat  Wink Note the blow dryer: The only way I could do a repeat pattern without waiting an hour between each print. Also I used some tape to help with line registration.

Finished and ready to snuggle up with!

Awesome pillows, sheep!  I'm really loving the jawbone print!  I so hope to learn how to screen print some day!

Thanks jilly! I love the print and definitely have plans to use it more in the future. Also jump into screen printing - its so much fun and makes repeating images sooooooooooo much more simple. I'm tired of cutting out a million freezer paper stencils haha.

I can't believe you printed each one individually! That's some time consuming work there! Good consistent prints and I like the little quirks of the placements - moves the eye around the print

I think I'm either gonna have to find some super huge pillows tho or I may make them a tad smaller, they're swamping my current pillows lol hope that's ok  Embarrassed

All in all tho I'm soo happy and feel very inspired to set up more swaps  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Ohh! So sorry about that. I guess I was more paranoid that they'd be too small than too big. At least you can restyle it to fit yours, I don't mind  Cheesy
