So I've seen lots of amazing altered tins on here and wanted to try one of my own.  I read this amazing tutorial ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=374080.0 ) and wanted to give it a go.  I originally planned to just decorate it with robot themes then I stumbled upon Gordon Bennett's robots ( http://www.bennettrobotworks.com/robots.php ) and well one thing turned into another.

Lots of E6000, found objects, and a trip to the hardware store and craft store later I present Alfred the robot!

Enjoy!

His head is made out of the thing that goes around a door lock when you replace the door knob.  I just put some green scrapbook paper to cover the big whole then backed the whole thing with silver paper.

So cute. I've been working on mini-altoid dolls lately, but my hubby is starting to buy tins so he can join in on the fun. He wanted to make a robot, too....I'll pass this along to him for inspiration. Thanks. Smiley
