I've been wanting one of these for a long time, so that I wasn't constantly having all the ends of the thread get all stuck to the other bits on the table, or struggling to get it all to the bin without dropping it!

If you want to know how to make one, I did a fairly comprehensive tutorial here: http://snottydog.wordpress.com/2012/09/07/how-to-make-a-thread-catcher-or-scraps-bin/

It is such funny timing that you put this up now.. I was sewing last night and kept throwing my thread bits on the ground next to my machine and thought there must be a better way.  And along comes your post Smiley

I couldn't think of what exactly would work but I think this will.  Thanks so much for sharing!!

Oh, and if you have a lot of scraps, you just leave the cuff turned up:

Awesome!!  Glad it's of help, alwaysinmyroom - do let me know how you find the tutorial - it's only the second or third one that I've done, and definitely the most pic-heavy and comprehensive, and it would be good to know if it's as easy to follow as I hope it is?   Wink
