My friend is a big Avengers fan, so I made her this knitted replica of Thor's Hammer during the Ravellenic Games this year. I just joined Crafster, so I thought I'd post it up here, cause I think it turned out pretty neat!

I knitted this with Berrocco Elements, and my husband built the framework to hold the handle in place.

Bwahahahaha, I could see myself going all god of thunder on people with that.  Grin Is it soft inside or could you actually give someone a good smack with it?

A little of both, actually. The inside has a cardboard frame that gives it shape and firmly holds the handle in place. There are also cardboard inserts in the end caps to help provide rigidity. All of that being said, however, there is a great deal of stuffing in there, too, so it can't do any real damage. :-D
