Well, I totally didn't know what to pick for a theme. I'm also craptacular with clay and 3-D stuff, so I used paper art to create dimension. I really loved the movie Beetlejuice when I was growing up, so I used ideas from the cartoon (easier to render for me) to create a scene from it.

I colored the characters with marker and permanent marker and attached them to cardstock. The backdrop image is actually painted with acrylic- it's "BJ's Roadhouse" from the cartoon.

The pieces with writing are attached with tags so they stand out from the building.

My personal favorite part is the border in the front. It's actuall cardboard covered in construction paper. I used hot glue to create a spider-web design on top of it, and created the iconic "Beetlejuice" plaque out of cardboard and paper as well.

The pictures don't really show the depth that well, but they give you an idea.
I had a great time doing this... Beetlejuice beetlejuice BEETLEJUICE!

When you wist upon a star...

I'm currently lusting over bird's nest necklaces and jewelry in general. Personal swap partners sought! :-)
