I'm turning 21 this month and I wanted to have a geeky nerd themed party for all my geektastic friends. We are part of a gaming group on campus so I figured I'd keep them all from feeling out of place with a ridiculous party, and instead have a friendly environment at my parents' house. I invited 20 people but I'm only expecting 10 or 12 to show up.

I hoped to order sheet pizzas and serve grilled hot dogs, macaroni salad, chips and dip, and maybe make geeky appetizers or finger foods. Any suggestions for foods I could make?

I want to have games played (Dominion, Settlers of Catan, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, etc.).

I plan to serve non-alcoholic sherbet punch and Buffy the Vampire Slayer Jones Soda (if I can find any) to the underaged kids (19-20), and to the of age friends (21+) I want to serve gamer-esque alcohol (Hobgoblin beer, etc).

I was thinking about making a Rubik's Cube cake and/or Minecraft Creeper cupcakes, or possibly have my cousin's wife make me a Hello Kitty cake (it's not geeky, but I LOVE Hello Kitty/Sanrio!) with geeky cupcakes. Any suggestions for cupcakes I could make? Or cakes?

Then there are the "favor bags". I don't know if I am too old to give these out, but I was thinking something age appropriate, like shot glasses, and nerds rope (because they're "nerdy" and look like DNA) or boxes of nerds. What else could I give to my guests? I was thinking maybe a 90s themed favor bag since most of us were born in the 90s. What could I give them?

What other ideas do you have? Decorations? Games? Foods? Anything. Thank you! =)
